Semiabiológiai is a term that describes entities or phenomena that exhibit characteristics of both biological and non-biological systems, without being fully one or the other. This concept often arises in speculative science fiction, theoretical biology, or discussions about the nature of life itself. It suggests a state of being that is not strictly alive in the conventional sense, yet possesses some of the attributes associated with living organisms.

These attributes might include limited self-replication, rudimentary metabolism, adaptation to environmental stimuli, or even a semblance of organization and growth. Conversely, a semiabiological entity would lack key defining features of life, such as complex cellular structures, genetic inheritance through DNA or RNA, or the capacity for independent reproduction and evolution. Examples could range from advanced artificial intelligences that exhibit emergent behaviors mimicking life, to hypothetical extraterrestrial organisms with vastly different biochemical foundations, or even complex chemical systems that display life-like properties under specific conditions.
