Scrumviitekehystä

Scrumviitekehys, often referred to as Scrum framework, is a widely adopted agile project management methodology. It is an iterative and incremental approach designed to manage complex product development. Scrum emphasizes collaboration, self-organization, and rapid adaptation to change. The framework is built upon empirical process control, relying on transparency, inspection, and adaptation.

The core of Scrum consists of roles, events, and artifacts. Key roles include the Product Owner, who represents the customer and prioritizes the product backlog; the Scrum Master, who facilitates the Scrum process and removes impediments; and the Development Team, responsible for delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product.

Scrum events, also known as ceremonies, provide regular opportunities for inspection and adaptation. These include the Sprint Planning meeting, where work for the upcoming Sprint is defined; the Daily Scrum, a brief daily meeting for the Development Team to synchronize and plan; the Sprint Review, where the team demonstrates the increment and gathers feedback; and the Sprint Retrospective, where the team reflects on its process and identifies improvements.

The primary Scrum artifact is the Product Backlog, a dynamic, ordered list of everything known to be needed in the product. During a Sprint, a subset of the Product Backlog is selected to form the Sprint Backlog, representing the work the Development Team commits to completing. The outcome of a Sprint is a potentially releasable Increment. Scrum is designed to be lightweight but is difficult to master, requiring dedication to its principles and practices.
