Schaijk

Schaijk is a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. It is part of the municipality Land van Cuijk since 2022, following a regional municipal reorganisation. The town lies in the southern part of the province, near the border with Gelderland, and is surrounded by agricultural land.

Historically, Schaijk developed as a rural community with a church and a market square. In 1994 it became part of the municipality of Sint Anthonis, and in 2022 Sint Anthonis merged into Land van Cuijk.

The town has a mix of residential areas and shops, with basic services for residents and a few smaller industries. Many residents commute to nearby towns such as Oss, Grave, or Nijmegen for work.

Schaijk does not have a railway station; it is accessible by regional roads and bus connections to surrounding towns. The nearest rail links are in Oss and Nijmegen.

Schaijk has primary schools; secondary education is available in nearby towns. The town hosts local clubs for sports and culture, and there are community events throughout the year.
