Sarjasüsteemidele, commonly referred to as series systems, are a fundamental concept in engineering and various technical fields. In a series system, components are arranged in a chain, meaning that the output of one component serves as the input for the next. This sequential arrangement implies that the entire system functions only if all individual components are operational. If even a single component fails, the entire series system will cease to function.

This principle is widely applied in electrical circuits where resistors, batteries, or light bulbs can be connected in series. In such a configuration, the electric current flows through each component consecutively. The total resistance in a series circuit is the sum of the resistances of all individual components. Similarly, the voltage drop across each component adds up to the total voltage supplied to the circuit.

Beyond electrical applications, the concept of series systems extends to mechanical assemblies, software processes, and even project management. For instance, in a manufacturing line, each stage must be completed successfully for the product to move to the next. A delay or malfunction at any point impacts the entire production flow. Similarly, in a software application, a series of functions must execute in order; if one function fails, the subsequent ones cannot proceed.
