SaintMontan

SaintMontan is a small municipality and parish in the region of Aurelia, near the border with Elaria. It lies along the Saint River in a valley surrounded by forested hills. The municipality covers about 12 square kilometers and has a population around 3,200 as of the latest census.

History describes a settlement dating back to at least the 9th century, with a chapel dedicated to Saint Montan giving the town its name. A fortified manor and a market were established in the 12th century, helping SaintMontan develop as an agricultural and crafts center. It became part of various feudal lordships before being incorporated into the modern state in the late 18th century.
