SVT1

SVT1 is Sweden's primary television channel operated by Sveriges Television (SVT), the country's public-service broadcaster. It originated in the 1950s as TV1, the first television channel in Sweden, and was later renamed SVT1 during a reorganization of SVT's channel lineup. Along with SVT2, it forms the core of SVT's public-service television service and is offered free-to-air across Sweden. The channel's programming is broad and generalist, encompassing national and international news, drama and comedy, documentaries, culture, and entertainment. News is led by flagship programs such as Rapport, with additional current affairs coverage distributed across SVT's networks. Children’s programming is primarily carried by SVT’s dedicated Barnkanalen, though SVT1 also broadcasts family-oriented content when appropriate.

SVT1 is available on digital terrestrial television in Sweden, as well as via cable and satellite, and
