SSJ4

Super Saiyan 4, often abbreviated as SSJ4, is a powerful transformation featured in the Dragon Ball GT anime series. It is distinct from the Super Saiyan transformations seen in Dragon Ball Z. To achieve Super Saiyan 4, a Saiyan must first be able to transform into a Super Saiyan and a Golden Great Ape. The Saiyan must then retain control over their Oozaru form, transforming into the Super Saiyan 4 state.

Visually, SSJ4 Saiyans have a more bestial appearance. Their hair turns black and grows longer, reaching down their back. Their body is covered in red fur, and they often sport red markings on their eyelids and forearms. The aura surrounding a Super Saiyan 4 is typically a fiery red. This form significantly amplifies the Saiyan's physical strength, speed, and ki power to immense levels, surpassing Super Saiyan 3.

The Super Saiyan 4 form was first achieved by Goku during his battle against Baby Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT. Later, Vegeta also attained this form, with assistance from Bulma's Blutz Wave generator. Gogeta, the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, also transformed into Super Saiyan 4, becoming an incredibly potent warrior. While it is a prominent form in GT, SSJ4 is considered non-canonical by some fans, as Dragon Ball GT is not part of the original manga by Akira Toriyama. However, it has retained a significant level of popularity within the Dragon Ball fanbase and has appeared in various video games and supplementary materials.
