SPECTkameroilla
SPECTkameroilla is a term that refers to the use of SPECT cameras. SPECT stands for Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography. These cameras are a type of medical imaging technology used to visualize the distribution of a radiopharmaceutical within the body. A small amount of radioactive material, called a tracer, is injected into the patient, and the SPECT camera detects the gamma rays emitted by the tracer. As the camera rotates around the patient, it collects data from multiple angles. This data is then reconstructed by a computer to create cross-sectional images, similar to CT or MRI scans, but revealing physiological function rather than just anatomy.
SPECT imaging is valuable for diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions. In cardiology, it can assess
