SCORMxAPI

SCORMxAPI, also known as the Experience API or Tin Can API, is a specification for tracking learning experiences. It is designed to be a successor to the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), addressing many of its limitations. Developed by the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative, SCORMxAPI was released in 2013 and has since gained traction in the eLearning and training industries.

SCORMxAPI enables learning systems to collect data about a wide range of learning activities, not just those that occur within a traditional eLearning environment.
