Röntgenmenetelmä, also known as X-ray methods, refers to a family of non-destructive testing techniques that utilize X-rays to examine the internal structure of materials and objects. These methods are based on the principle that X-rays can penetrate matter, and their attenuation (absorption and scattering) depends on the material's density and atomic number. Different materials absorb X-rays to varying degrees, creating contrast in the resulting image.

The most common application of röntgenmenetelmä is in medical imaging, where X-rays are used to visualize bones, detect fractures, and identify abnormalities in internal organs. In industrial settings, röntgenmenetelmä is employed for quality control, material analysis, and defect detection in components such as welds, castings, and electronic assemblies.
