Równoleg

Równoleg is not typically used as a standalone word in Polish. It functions as a stem in related forms that denote parallelism: równoległy, równolegle, równoległość. The core concept is objects or processes that run in the same direction or align with the same orientation, without converging.

In geometry, parallel describes lines, planes, or vectors that share the same direction. Two lines in a plane are parallel if they have equal slopes or if their direction vectors are scalar multiples; they do not intersect. In three-dimensional space, parallel lines lie in a common plane and do not meet.
