Rétégezésnek
Rétégezésnek is a small, relatively unknown geological formation located in the eastern Carpathian Mountains. Its name, derived from an Old Hungarian word meaning "layered stone," accurately describes its most prominent characteristic: distinct, horizontal strata of sedimentary rock. These layers are primarily composed of sandstone and shale, with occasional thin seams of limestone.
The formation is thought to have been created during the Neogene period through a process of sedimentation
While Rétégezésnek lacks significant paleontological discoveries, its geological structure offers valuable insights into the region's past
