Ruvistuminen
Ruvistuminen, also known as "fidgeting" or "fidgeting disorder," refers to a repetitive, non-harmful motor behavior that serves as a coping mechanism for anxiety or stress. This behavior can include activities such as tapping fingers, twirling hair, or playing with objects. Ruvistuminen is often observed in children and adults, and it can be a sign of underlying anxiety or stress. While it is generally considered harmless, excessive or compulsive ruvistuminen can interfere with daily activities and may be a symptom of an underlying condition, such as ADHD or anxiety disorder. Treatment options for ruvistuminen may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, stress management techniques, and in some cases, medication. It is important to note that ruvistuminen is not a recognized medical diagnosis in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), but it is a recognized behavior that can be addressed through various therapeutic approaches.
