Ruosteenkestävyys refers to the ability of a material, typically a metal, to resist corrosion, a process commonly known as rusting. Rusting specifically applies to iron and its alloys, such as steel, where a reddish-brown oxide forms on the surface due to a reaction with oxygen and moisture.
