Rosario

Rosario is a city in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, located on the western bank of the Paraná River about 300 kilometers northwest of Buenos Aires. It is the third-largest city in Argentina by population and a major economic and cultural center in the region.

Its position as an inland port makes Rosario a key hub for agriculture-related industries and manufacturing. The Port of Rosario handles grain and other bulk goods, while local industry includes food processing, steel, and logistics services. The city is home to several universities, most notably the National University of Rosario (Universidad Nacional de Rosario).

Cultural life centers on museums, theatres, and a dynamic music scene. Notable landmarks include the National Flag Memorial (Monumento Histórico Nacional a la Bandera), which commemorates the creation of the Argentine flag. The city has two prominent football clubs, Newell's Old Boys and Rosario Central, and hosts annual cultural events and festivals.

Rosario is connected by road and rail to other cities and is linked across the Paraná by the Rosario–Victoria Bridge. The metropolitan area is served by the Rosario–Islas Malvinas International Airport.
