Rooogs

Rooogs are a fictional lineage of small, arboreal mammals that appear in speculative fiction and tabletop role-playing settings. They are commonly depicted as intelligent, social creatures that form tight family groups and cooperate in foraging and defense. The name Rooog is used collectively for multiple species within the imagined clade.

Physically, Rooogs are about 15 to 25 centimeters in body length, with a tail of similar length. Fur coloration varies by subspecies, ranging from warm browns to iridescent blues or greens. They have large ears, a pointed snout, and agile limbs; many populations possess a prehensile tail, and some subgroups have light gliding membranes for short aerial descent between trees.

Ecologically, Rooogs are primarily nocturnal omnivores. Their diet includes fruits, seeds, insects, and occasionally small vertebrates. They are territorial but display flexible social structures, using vocal calls, scent marking, and complex body language to coordinate group activities.
