Rnehh

Rnehh is a fictional town and commune situated in the eastern foothills of the Valernor Mountains, within the river valley of Syrin in the region of Eldmere. It serves as the administrative center of the Rnehh Valley Municipality and lies along Route 7, an historic trade corridor linking several settlements in the valley.

The town sits at roughly 320 meters above sea level, with a temperate climate and distinct seasons. The surrounding countryside consists of patchwork fields, orchards, and mixed woodlands, with the Syrin river running through the valley and providing irrigation and wildlife habitats.

Rnehh was founded in the 12th century by settlers from the northern highlands and developed as a local market town. It gained municipal status in the late medieval period and has since been governed by a mayor and town council. It is part of the Eldmere Federation, with limited autonomous authority on local matters such as zoning and cultural events.

Population is around 3,200. The economy relies on agriculture—primarily barley and apples—alongside small-scale crafts, textiles, and woodworking. The town hosts seasonal markets that attract traders from neighboring towns. Education includes an elementary school and a vocational center; higher education facilities are found in larger nearby towns.

Notable landmarks include the stone Rnehh Cathedral, the Stone Bridge over the Syrin, and the Old Mill along the riverbank. The annual Harvest Moon Festival celebrates harvest, crafts, and local music, reflecting the town's agrarian heritage.

Transportation links consist of Route 7 and bus services; the nearest rail hub is in Soran, about 20 kilometers to the west, from which connections extend to larger urban centers. Rnehh is often described as a quiet, close-knit community with a strong sense of local identity.
