Ripsieläimet

Ripsieläimet, also known as thrips, are tiny insects belonging to the order Thysanoptera. They are characterized by their slender bodies, fringed wings (though some species are wingless), and asymmetrical mouthparts. Their size typically ranges from 0.5 to 15 millimeters in length, making them difficult to spot with the naked eye. Ripsieläimet are found worldwide in a variety of habitats, particularly in temperate and tropical regions. They are most commonly associated with plants, where they feed on sap, pollen, and fungi.
