Rikastettu

Rikastettu is a Finnish adjective and past passive participle formed from the verb rikastaa, meaning to enrich or augment. The word describes something that has undergone enrichment or has a higher content, quality, or value than before. It is commonly used in technical, scientific, and industrial contexts as well as in everyday language to indicate added value or nutrients.

In scientific and industrial usage, rikastettu refers to materials that have been processed to increase a particular component. The most well-known example is rikastettu uraani, or enriched uranium, where the proportion of fissile isotope U-235 is increased relative to natural uranium. The term can also be applied more broadly to isotopes, minerals, or other substances that have been supplemented or concentrated for a specific purpose.
