Riemenräder

Riemenräder, also known as pulleys or sprockets, are essential components in mechanical power transmission systems. They are typically wheels or discs with a grooved rim designed to engage with a belt or chain. The primary function of a riemenrad is to transfer rotational motion and torque from one shaft to another, often altering the speed or direction of the movement.

There are various types of riemenräder, each suited for different applications. Toothed riemenräder, also called sprockets, are used with chains and feature teeth that mesh with the chain links, providing positive and precise power transmission without slippage. Belt pulleys, on the other hand, are used with belts and have grooves or a flat rim to create friction.
