Repräsentationssälen

Repräsentationssälen is a chamber located in the Swedish Riksdag, the country's national legislature, in Stockholm. It serves as the main debating chamber and is used by the members of the Riksdag for the conduct of parliamentary business. The chamber is situated in the Riksdag Building, a structure that houses the Riksdag and is one of the most iconic buildings in Stockholm.

The Repräsentationssälen was opened in 1985 as part of the new Riksdag Building, which replaced the old Riksdag Building that was destroyed in a fire. The building was designed by architect Paul Lucy and also houses several committees and boardrooms. The chamber is a large, rectangular room with a series of tiered seating areas for the members of the Riksdag. The seating area is arranged in a way that allows for a high level of visibility between members, fostering a sense of engagement and participation in debates.

Repräsentationssälen is used for a wide range of parliamentary business, including plenary sessions of the Riksdag, committee debates, and broadcast talks.
