Remondists

Remondists, also known as Remondite Field Practitioners, are individuals who follow a now-defunct spiritual movement based on the teachings of Claude Neault, known to his followers as Claude Remond. The movement emerged in the mid-20th century in France, primarily in the regions of Brittany and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

The Remondists believed in a form of eclecticism that drew upon various spiritual and philosophical traditions, including Theosophy, Anthroposophy, and occultism. They saw themselves as guardians of a hidden truth or esoteric knowledge, obtained through a system of initiations and spiritual disciplines. Their teachings emphasized the importance of nature, the oneness of all living beings, and the concept of an invisible, interconnected world.

Practitioners of the Remond movement typically conducted rituals and practices intended to establish communication with the "totality," a term referring to a comprehensive and organic whole. They drew upon symbolic codes and diagrams derived from various cultural and philosophical traditions, aimed at sped up evolution and spiritual growth. Remondists also cultivated an ethic of compassion, spirituality, and cosmic consciousness.

No formal registration or official membership records were maintained by the group, leading to estimates of the Remondist community's size, which vary from several dozen to a few hundred individuals. Given the loose nature of the Remond movement and the esoteric nature of its doctrine, it's challenging to determine the extent of its acceptance in the public sphere. Notably, there were no statements or statements released regarding its activities publicly. Despite the unclear status of the movement, individual practitioners made considerable attempts to include its societal principles and practices in broader society.

Criticism emerged on account of the Remond movement's supposed moral classlessness, democratic convictions, non-denominationality of of anti-institutional motives.
