Rekombinationskarten
Rekombinationskarten, also known as genetic maps or linkage maps, are graphical representations of the relative positions of genes on a chromosome. They are constructed based on the frequency of recombination, a process where homologous chromosomes exchange genetic material during meiosis. Genes that are physically close together on a chromosome are less likely to be separated by recombination events, and therefore tend to be inherited together. Conversely, genes that are farther apart are more likely to be separated by recombination.
The unit of distance on a rekombinationskarte is the centimorgan (cM), which is defined as a 1%
The construction of rekombinationskarten typically involves analyzing the inheritance patterns of multiple genes in large populations
