Reflectir
Reflectir is a verb found in Catalan and other Romance languages meaning to reflect. It has two broad senses: the optical sense of returning light, an image, or sound from a surface; and the cognitive sense of considering or contemplating something. In optics, an object or surface reflects light, producing mirrored images. In thinking, reflectir covers the act of thinking over an issue, analyzing it, or pondering possible responses. For the latter sense, speakers sometimes use related forms such as reflexionar to emphasize careful consideration.
