Reeti

Riti, also known as Reeti or Reethi, is a traditional Indian clothing, particularly popular in the southern regions of India, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and parts of Tamil Nadu. It refers to a type of ankle-length chief dress or a type of versatile woman's garment that can be worn in various forms.

The Riti or Reeti is made from a wider piece of fabric, usually a cotton or silk cloth, that is draped around the body with the left side placed over the right. This West-Asian style of draping, known as the salwar or se ti, is a traditional way of wearing apparel in these regions of India. In addition to its cultural significance, the Riti or Reeti is a staple item in the daily attire of women in South India and to a lesser extent in other parts of India, as well as in Sri Lanka.

Riti or Reeti garments typically consist of a fitted blouse piece known as the chuni or kiDereni, which is a flared, charged skirt known as the pallu. The skirt often contains intricate embroidery, and elaborate border designs. With both sensibilities in terms of both comfort and practicability, this dual-faced outfit is a wanted asset to Indian head apparel.
