ReadyToBoot is a term often encountered in the context of computer systems, particularly during the startup or initialization process. It signifies a state where the system has completed all necessary pre-boot operations and is prepared to load the operating system. This typically involves hardware initialization, firmware checks, and the loading of essential bootloader components.

The process leading up to the readytoboot state can vary significantly depending on the hardware architecture and the type of firmware being used, such as BIOS or UEFI. During this phase, the system's basic input/output system (BIOS) or Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) performs a Power-On Self-Test (POST) to verify that critical hardware components are functioning correctly.
