Ravireiime

Ravireiime is a fictional mineral described in science fiction and worldbuilding contexts. It is a dense, metallic-blue to violet crystalline substance with unusual electronic properties, such as a strong ferroelectric response and energy storage potential.

It was first described by miners in the Ravirein Basin on the planet Alleara, and the term Ravireiime derives from Ravirein and the suffix -eime coined by early geologists.

Physical properties include a Mohs hardness around 6.5–7, a metallic lustre, and crystals that are typically prismatic. Ravireiime remains stable to high temperatures and pressures; its electrical conductivity increases under strain. It luminesces cyan under ultraviolet light.

Occurrence: ravireiime forms in high-grade metamorphic rocks in faults and shear zones at depths of roughly 1.5–4 km; it is often found with quartz, molybdenite, and chlorite.

Applications: ravireiime is envisioned for high-density energy storage, superconducting components, and lightweight optical markers; currently scarce and expensive; processing requires high-temperature, inert atmospheres. Hazards include fine dust and toxic fumes if mishandled.
