Raumsituationen

Raumsituationen denotes the spatial configuration in a given environment, including boundaries such as walls and ceilings, the overall volume and dimensions, and the arrangement of objects, furnishings, and people. It also encompasses lighting, acoustics, and the flow of movement. The term is used across disciplines such as architecture, interior design, urban planning, theatre and event design, and, in some contexts, human–computer interaction for physical interfaces.

In architecture and interior design, Raumsituationen describe how a space is organized to support activities and movement, defining zones, sightlines, and scale.
