Ratsastajaliitto
Ratsastajaliitto, or the Finnish Equestrian Federation, is the national governing body for equestrian sports in Finland. Established in 1921, the organization is responsible for promoting, developing, and regulating equestrian activities across the country. It oversees various disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, eventing, and driving. The federation organizes national championships, trains coaches and judges, and represents Finnish equestrian athletes in international competitions. Ratsastajaliitto collaborates with other sports organizations and government bodies to ensure the safety and well-being of horses and riders. It also works to increase public awareness and interest in equestrian sports through education and outreach programs. The organization is affiliated with the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and the European Equestrian Federation (EEF), enabling Finnish athletes to compete on the global stage. Ratsastajaliitto's mission is to foster a strong and sustainable equestrian community in Finland, promoting the sport's values of discipline, teamwork, and respect for animals.
