Ratcatcher is a character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, primarily associated with Batman. The character's real name is Otis Flannegan, a former pest exterminator who, after being exposed to chemical waste, developed an affinity for rats and the ability to control them. He uses a collection of trained rats, often wielding a gas-powered pipe or a modified Tommy gun, as his primary weapons and tools.

Ratcatcher's modus operandi often involves using his rodent army for criminal activities, such as extortion or to create diversions. He is not typically depicted as a physically imposing villain but rather as a cunning and unsettling adversary due to his unique abilities and the psychological impact of his rat-infested schemes.
