Rasvatuskirurgia
Rasvatuskirurgia, also known as liposuction, is a cosmetic surgical procedure aimed at removing unwanted fat deposits from specific areas of the body. It is not a method for weight loss but rather a body contouring technique to improve the shape and proportion of the body. Common areas treated include the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms, and neck. The procedure involves making small incisions through which a thin, hollow tube called a cannula is inserted. This cannula is then used to suction out the excess fat.
There are several types of liposuction, including tumescent liposuction, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL), and laser-assisted liposuction (LAL).
The procedure is typically performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the treatment.
