Rakétameghajtás

Rakétameghajtás refers to the principle of propelling a rocket by expelling mass in one direction to generate thrust in the opposite direction. This fundamental concept, often described by Newton's third law of motion, states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In a rocket, a propellant is burned or otherwise energized, creating a high-pressure gas. This gas is then expelled through a nozzle at high velocity. The force of this expulsion, known as thrust, pushes the rocket forward.

The primary components of a rocket propulsion system include a propellant, an oxidizer (which provides oxygen for combustion if the propellant is a fuel), a combustion chamber where the propellant is ignited, and a nozzle that accelerates the exhaust gases. Propellants can be solid, liquid, or hybrid. Solid propellants are pre-mixed and burn at a steady rate, simplifying the design but offering less control over thrust. Liquid propellants, stored separately as fuel and oxidizer, can be mixed in the combustion chamber, allowing for greater control and higher performance. Hybrid systems combine aspects of both solid and liquid designs.

The efficiency of a rocket engine is often measured by its specific impulse, which indicates how much thrust is generated per unit of propellant consumed over time. Higher specific impulse generally means better fuel economy and greater achievable velocities. Rakétameghajtás is the driving force behind space exploration, enabling spacecraft to escape Earth's gravity and travel to other celestial bodies. It is also used in various terrestrial applications, such as fireworks and certain types of high-speed vehicles.
