Rab3GDP

Rab3GDP is a nucleotide-bound form of the Rab3 family of small GTPases, which are integral to the regulation of vesicular trafficking within cells. Rab3 proteins are predominantly expressed in neuronal and secretory cells and play critical roles in neurotransmitter release, hormone secretion, and synaptic vesicle cycling. The GDP-bound state, Rab3GDP, represents the inactive form of the protein, typically associated with sequestration and endocytic recycling processes.

Rab3 proteins cycle between active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound states, with the GTP-bound form facilitating vesicle docking and fusion by interacting with effector proteins.
