RKE
RKE, or Remote Keyless Entry, is a system used in many modern vehicles to unlock doors, lock the vehicle, and in some cases start the engine, without inserting a physical key. A handheld fob contains a transmitter that communicates with a receiver in the car, typically via radio frequency signals. The system often uses rolling codes or cryptographic challenge-response mechanisms to resist interception, and it may be paired with an immobilizer that prevents engine starting unless proper authentication is detected.
