RIPEs
RIPEs, which stands for Regional Internet Registries, are organizations responsible for the allocation and registration of Internet number resources within specific geographical regions. These resources include IP addresses (both IPv4 and IPv6) and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). There are five RIRs globally, each serving a distinct geographic area: APNIC for the Asia-Pacific region, ARIN for Canada and the United States, LACNIC for Latin America and the Caribbean, RIPE NCC for Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia, and AfriNIC for Africa.
