RFIDbrikker

RFIDbrikker, often translated as RFID tags or RFID chips, are small electronic devices that utilize radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. These brikker consist of a microchip that stores data and an antenna used to transmit and receive this data wirelessly. They are designed to be attached to or embedded in objects for identification and tracking purposes.

The operation of an RFIDbrikke involves a reader, which emits radio waves. When an RFIDbrikke comes within range of the reader, its antenna receives the radio waves, which power the microchip. The microchip then transmits its stored data back to the reader via the antenna. This data can be a unique identifier, product information, or other relevant details.

RFIDbrikker are categorized into two main types: passive and active. Passive RFIDbrikker do not have their own power source and rely entirely on the energy from the RFID reader. They are generally less expensive and have a shorter read range. Active RFIDbrikker, on the other hand, contain a battery, allowing them to transmit their signal over longer distances and to be powered independently.

The applications of RFIDbrikker are diverse. They are widely used in inventory management, supply chain logistics, asset tracking, access control systems, and for anti-counterfeiting measures. In consumer goods, they can be found in retail inventory, libraries, and even for pet microchipping. The ability to identify and track items without direct line-of-sight contact makes RFIDbrikker a valuable tool in modern identification systems.
