Ríastrad

Ríastrad is a character in Irish mythology, most notably appearing in the Ulster Cycle. He is the brother of Medb, the Queen of Connacht, and Conchobar mac Nessa, the King of Ulster. Ríastrad is primarily known for his role in the tale of the Táin Bó Cúailnge, the Cattle Raid of Cooley. In this epic, he acts as a messenger and a spy for Queen Medb. He is depicted as a formidable and somewhat fearsome warrior. One of his most memorable actions is his encounter with Cú Chulainn, where he is defeated and brought before Conchobar.
