Qianlong
The Qianlong Emperor (1711–1799), born Hongli, was a Qing dynasty ruler who reigned from 1735 to 1796. He was the fourth son of the Yongzheng Emperor and ascended the throne at a young age, continuing a period of territorial expansion and administrative consolidation. In 1796 he abdicated in favor of his son, the Jiaqing Emperor, though he remained influential at court until his death in 1799.
