QTszindrómákhoz
QTszindrómákhoz refers to a group of rare genetic disorders that affect the heart's electrical activity. These syndromes are characterized by an abnormality in the QT interval of the electrocardiogram (ECG), which represents the time it takes for the heart's ventricles to repolarize after each beat. Prolongation of the QT interval can lead to dangerous irregular heart rhythms, particularly Torsades de Pointes, which can cause fainting, seizures, and even sudden cardiac death.
There are several types of QTszindrómákhoz, each caused by mutations in different genes that control ion channels
Diagnosis of QTszindrómákhoz usually involves a thorough medical history, physical examination, ECG, and sometimes genetic testing.
