Përçarjet

Përçarjet is Albanian for fractures or fissures. It can refer to physical breaks in solids or to metaphorical divisions. Etymology: from për- "apart" and çarje "cut".

In geology and geomorphology, përçarjet are natural discontinuities in rock masses, including faults and joints. They control mechanical strength, fluid pathways, and erosion patterns. They are identified through field mapping and geophysical methods; their orientation and density influence slope stability and reservoir behavior.

In medicine and anatomy, përçarje denotes a bone fracture. Classifications include open versus closed, complete versus incomplete, and displaced versus nondisplaced.
