Példabeszédekben

Példabeszédekben is a Hungarian linguistic term referring to the locative plural form of the noun példa(beszéd), meaning proverb. The phrase denotes location or presence within proverbs, and is most often encountered in religious or literary contexts when discussing content that appears in proverbial sayings, especially those within the Bible “Book of Proverbs.” In Hungarian, the -ben suffix marks location, so példabeszédekben literally means “in the proverbs.”

Morphology and usage are straightforward: the base noun is példabeszéd (proverb); its plural is példabeszédek, and adding -ben yields példabeszédekben. The form is used within a sentence to indicate that a statement, theme, or teaching is drawn from or is contained in proverbs. For example: “A példabeszédekben található tanácsok gyakran rövidek és tömören fogalmazottak.” Another common usage is in reference to the Book of Proverbs, for instance “a Példabeszédek könyvében található bölcsesség.”
