Purentavoiman refers to the force exerted by the muscles of mastication, primarily the temporalis and masseter muscles, when an individual bites down. This force is crucial for chewing food, breaking it down into smaller pieces for digestion. The measurement of this force is typically done using a device called a gnathodynamometer, which quantifies the pressure applied between the teeth.

Purentavoiman can vary significantly among individuals due to factors such as age, sex, muscle development, and dental health. Generally, males tend to have greater biting force than females.
