Puntosella

Puntosella is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to South America. The genus is characterized by its small, yellow or white flowers that are arranged in clusters or heads. It is named after the Spanish botanist and explorer José Antonio de los Reyes y Torres, who was known as "Puntosella" due to his distinctive facial features. The genus includes about 15 species, which are distributed throughout South America, from Argentina to Peru.

Puntosella plants are valued for their ornamental qualities and are often used in rock gardens, alpine gardens, and other similar settings. They are relatively easy to grow and can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. However, they do require well-drained soil and may be susceptible to pests and diseases in humid conditions.
