Puffaceae

Puffaceae is a fictional taxonomic family of fungi. Its members are characterized by their sporocarps, which are typically spherical or ovate structures. These structures are often referred to as puffballs due to their method of spore dispersal. When mature, the puffball wall ruptures, releasing a cloud of microscopic spores into the air. This mechanism is known as ballistospory.
