Projektberichten

Projektberichten are formal documents that communicate the status, progress, and outcomes of a project to stakeholders. The term is used in German- and Dutch-speaking contexts and encompasses a variety of reporting practices within project management. They may be issued as status reports, progress updates, or project dashboards, depending on organizational conventions.

The main purpose is to provide transparency, inform decision-making, and support risk management. Reports are typically produced on a regular cadence—weekly, monthly, or at milestone dates—and tailored to the audience, from executive sponsors to project teams.

A typical Projektbericht includes objectives, progress against plan, budget status, resource usage, risks and issues with mitigation actions, changes in scope, significant dependencies, and quality metrics. Many organizations use a simple traffic-light status and forecast trends to highlight areas needing attention.

Formats vary from narrative documents to dashboards or slide decks. Templates may feature an executive summary, a detailed body, and a change log. Reports are created with project management tools or spreadsheets, and rely on version control and clear access permissions.

Governance assigns responsibility to the project manager, with review by a sponsor or steering group. Confidential information is controlled, and finalized Projektberichten are archived for auditability and future reference.
