Profiilide

Profiilide is the Estonian term for profiles, referring to structured representations of individuals or groups derived from data. They summarize or predict characteristics, preferences, and behaviors by aggregating information from multiple sources. Profiilide can be static, reflecting a snapshot at a given time, or dynamic, updated as new data arrives. They may be anonymized or pseudonymized, but re-identification risk persists when combined with other data.

Construction of profiilide involves data fusion and feature engineering across diverse data sources, such as customer databases, transaction histories, online activity, location data, social media, and third-party datasets. The resulting attributes form a profile that can guide decisions or predictions. Profiles are used in a range of contexts and may be updated continuously to reflect changing behavior.
