Preventus
Preventus is a genus of small to medium-sized birds of prey in the family Accipitridae, which also includes eagles, hawks, and kites. The genus is native to the Americas, with species ranging from southern Canada to northern Argentina. Preventus birds are known for their distinctive appearance, featuring a long, wedge-shaped tail and a broad, rounded head. They are typically brown or gray in color, with a white or pale underside.
