Praktikaprogramme is a term used in Norwegian and Danish to describe structured work-based learning arrangements that provide participants with practical experience in an organization over a defined period. They are commonly offered to students and recent graduates, but can also be part of vocational training or workforce development programs. Programs combine work assignments with learning outcomes, mentorship, and sometimes formal assessments or academic credit.

Typical structures include a defined duration from a few weeks to several months or up to a year, and may be paid or unpaid. They usually feature induction, clear learning objectives, and supervision by a mentor, with evaluative feedback and a final assessment. Some are embedded in higher education as internships or practicum components; others operate as standalone schemes.

Employers participate to access new talent, test fit for roles, and strengthen recruitment pipelines, while participants gain practical skills, professional networks, and clearer career options.

Governments, universities, or industry bodies may fund internships or provide wage subsidies, and quality is addressed through guidelines on learning outcomes, safety training, working conditions, and program evaluation.
