Established in 1985 by the PoundDrever Hall Trust, a charitable organization dedicated to promoting access to the arts, the hall occupies a former brick warehouse adapted for performance and meetings. The project aimed to provide affordable space for rehearsals, exhibitions, and public programming.

The building comprises a 420-seat auditorium, a 120-square-meter gallery, several rehearsal rooms, and a small café.
