Postissa is a fictional city used in speculative fiction and world-building narratives. In many depictions it is a port town on the northern coast of an imagined realm called Nordmark, serving as a hub for trade, administration, and postal networks.

The name appears to combine a reference to mail with the regional -issa suffix, and some writers link it to a historic courier post that once operated there.

Geographically, the city sits at a natural harbor with a rocky shoreline. The Old Town clusters around a basalt promontory, while the Harbor District holds docks, warehouses, and shipyards. Inland, a valley corridor connects Postissa to larger markets.

Historically, Postissa grew around a midmedieval postal relay and prospered as a trading stop between inland caravans and sea routes. It faced disasters such as storms and fires and underwent major redevelopment in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Its economy centers on harbor activities, logistics, shipbuilding and repair, fisheries, and a growing service sector for tourists and scholars. Local crafts include ropework, ceramics, and bookbinding.
